Data Deletion Policy

How to Request Deletion

To delete your account and all associated data:

1. Email support@duepilot.com from your registered email address
2. Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
3. Include your account email and organization name
4. We'll confirm the request within 24 hours

What Gets Deleted

When you request deletion, we permanently remove:

• Your user account and profile
• All timesheets you created
• All projects you own
• All invoices you generated
• Team member associations
• Session tokens and authentication data

Timeline

Data Retained

Some data may be retained for legal or operational reasons:

• Audit logs: Retained for 90 days for compliance and fraud prevention
• Financial records: Invoices and payments retained as required by tax law (typically 7 years)
• Legal holds: Data subject to legal proceedings or investigations

Retained data is anonymized where possible and not used for marketing or product development.

Before You Delete

Important: Deletion is permanent. Consider exporting your data first.

To export your data:

1. Log in to your DuePilot account
2. Visit Settings → Export Data
3. Download CSV or JSON files
4. Verify you have all needed information

Team Accounts

If you're part of a team, deleting your individual account will:

• Remove your access to shared projects
• Preserve timesheets you created (for organization audit trail)
• Transfer ownership if you're the organization owner (contact us)

To delete an entire organization, the owner must request it separately.

GDPR & CCPA Rights

European and California users have additional rights:

• Right to be forgotten (this policy implements that)
• Right to data portability (export before deletion)
• Right to withdraw consent
